Hardcover. Condition: Very Adept. Dust Jacket Status: Very Adept. 1st Edition. Small 4to. 192pp. Black and white photographs throughout. Gilded cream boards housed in an illustrated jacket. Binding is firm, tight and pages are clean and articulate throughout. The jacket is still in wonderful condition, rare for this publication. At that place are a few small, closed tears on its margins, equally well as a faint suggestion of foxing. Otherwise the colours are bright and the wrapper whole. Condition is stated as 'Very Good' to maintain consistency in our standards; however bearing in mind the usual condition this edition is found in, I would be tempted to say 'Near Fine'. First edition. Published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition, held at MOMA in 1955 and curated by Edward Steichen. A landmark in the history of photography. An important book in excellent condition.
